Popsicle Stick Flowers

Happy Saturday my friends! Did you guys enjoy your first day of spring yesterday? Surprisingly we had BEAUTIFUL weather here in Cheyenne, WY.

With the nearly five years we have lived here, I have never remembered it being so nice this time of year. I’m usually the one complaining about the snow, while everyone is enjoying their first day of spring…

Since we are in full spring mode around here, it’s time for another kid friendly craft that is perfect to celebrate this time of year. Not only are these Popsicle Stick Handprint Flowers really simple for you to do with your child BUT it’s also pretty inexpensive and makes for adorable home decor as well. Plus you can gift them to someone special you might know!

So don’t delay – grab those craft supplies with your child today! Then carve some time out of your afternoon to make these beautiful flowers to display proudly in your home or perhaps even gift them to some special friends! I just hope my post BLOSSOMS some creativity in you!

Not only are these Popsicle Stick Handprint Flowers really simple for children to make BUT it’s also double as adorable home decor as well!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 1 per flower craft
  • Green Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • School Glue
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Craft Scissors
  • Cardstock Paper

Directions:

  1. First squirt some craft paint on the paper plate.
  2. Grab ONE popsicle stick per flower craft you want your child to make.
  3. Have your children paint their popsicle sticks completely green.
  4. Set aside to let them dry.
  5. While those are drying, trace your child’s hands on the colored cardstock.
  6. Using scissors, trim the traced handprints out, as well as some green leaves for the flowers.
  7. To finish this Handprint Flower kid craft, simply glue on the cardstock pieces to the painted popsicle sticks.
  8. Then display proudly or gift away!
